Clean meat is a revolutionary form of clean, biotechnology with the potential of doing tremendous good for the planet

Our interest in the digital media and gaming incubator is equal parts showcasing our ideas and networking with leading individuals of the techno-culture age. This demographic is a prime cohort of people who are receptive to ideas of transforming agriculture through innovative techniques in biology and tissue culture and we would be remiss if we did not seize this platform to garner support for our objectives.

Co-founder of Clean Meat Harvest, Taylor Brooks is an experienced cell and tissue culturist having worked on primary and commercialized microbial and mammalian cell lines. During his Master's thesis project, Taylor investigated the physiological mechanisms of metabolism in cultured mouse muscle cells undergoing hypoxic stress. He is currently a product developer at Integricare Animal Health - a manufacturer of supplements for companion animals and competitive sporting horses.  Taylor soon realized that this traditionally research-based skill could be commercialized to improve the food supply by reducing the resource-intensive and high carbon emission nature of conventional agriculture all while reducing animal suffering. As a co-founder of Clean Meat Harvest, Taylor is now seeking research partnerships to develop the companies first prototype.

The Attention of Power Players

Bill Gates, Richard Branson and Jack Welch

This is what motivates us at Clean Meat Harvest! It can be a controversial subject, as some meat eaters don’t like the idea and some vegans refuse to embrace anything derived from animals. But big time investors are placing their bets that clean meat will be the future of food. Recently, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, GE CEO Jack Welch, VC firm DFJ (the same firm who invested in Tesla and Skype), and even the world’s largest meat producing corporation, Cargill, invested $17 million in Memphis Meats, a startup company using exclusively clean meat products.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

UNITED NATIONS SCIENTISTS STATE THAT RAISING ANIMALS FOR FOOD IS “ONE OF THE MAJOR CAUSES OF THE WORLD'S MOST PRESSING ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS, INCLUDING GLOBAL WARMING, LAND DEGRADATION, AIR AND WATER POLLUTION, AND LOSS OF BIODIVERSITY.”

GLOBAL POVERTY

GROWING CROPS TO FEED THEM TO FARM ANIMALS IS VASTLY INEFFICIENT, DRIVING UP THE PRICE OF GRAINS AND LEGUMES, AND ENTRENCHING GLOBAL POVERTY; TO PRODUCE ENOUGH FOOD FOR 9 BILLION PEOPLE BY 2050, WE WILL NEED A MORE EFFICIENT SYSTEM.

ANIMAL WELFARE

THE CURRENT PRODUCTION OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS SUBJECTS TENS OF BILLIONS OF THINKING, FEELING ANIMALS TO LIVES OF EXTREME CONFINEMENT, EMOTIONAL TRAUMA, PAINFUL MUTILATIONS, AND INHUMANE SLAUGHTER.

HUMAN HEALTH

ACCORDING TO THE CENTRES FOR DISEASE CONTROL, TENS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS GET SICK EVERY YEAR FROM EATING CONTAMINATED MEAT, AND THOUSANDS DIE. ABOUT 80 PERCENT OF ANTIBIOTICS PRODUCED IN THE U.S. ARE GIVEN TO FARM ANIMALS. THIS STEADY STREAM OF ANTIBIOTICS CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANTIBIOTIC-RESISTANT BACTERIA AND SUPERBUGS THAT CANNOT BE KILLED BY STANDARD ANTIBIOTICS.
